7,500 s.f. Physician Office Building
 
Azimuth : architecture designed this 7,500 square foot medical office building for Trinity
Pediatrics on a 1.35 acre site in Plano near Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. The building
design incorporates regional materials, such as Texas limestone and locally produced
brick; native landscape plantings; and passive solar design. The solar design utilizes
deep eaves to shade the building, lowering utility usage; and clerestory windows around
the perimeter of the building to bring natural light into every corridor and exam room.
 
The interior design utilizes a sophisticated, natural palette while incorporating bright,
saturated color accents. The end result is just what the clients wanted -- a “warm,
family-friendly environment where patients could feel comfortable and just be kids.”
