Palm Beach Tan’s management had several objectives in initiating their corporate office renovation: to create a distinct and unique corporate image for Palm Beach Tan; to architecturally support corporate values and culture; and to functionally orchestrate
Palm Beach Tan’s unity with, and distinction from, its sister company, Mystic Tan.
 
The design team met the daunting challenge of reshaping an aging, existing facility into
an innovative, two-story, corporate office with ample storage for staging, inventory and
product distribution--all within a modest budget. Inspired by the beach, finishes include:
natural birch wood veneers, bamboo flooring, sand-colored carpet with serpentine
patterning, blue hues of the sea and sky, and mono-point tech lighting. Long vistas and
tall volumes bring in natural light. A centralized spiral staircase floods the interior with
light that spills through its glass, pyramid-shaped ceiling.
 
Separate entrances provide autonomy to both companies, while shared support space reduces unnecessary duplication. Conference rooms were provided in tandem, but located centrally for the flexibility to host a myriad of customers and clients as needed. The impressive amount of technology, which operates seemingly invisibly, was carefully planned to address the ongoing growing needs of a Palm Beach Tan in the future.
